This looks so fake if this was a real president with a brain. Instead this is a actual post from the bag of skin in the whitehouse.

He is such an embarassing crybaby. No other country is going to work with us and manufacturing is done in the US. He has ruined all our international relationships in less than 6 months and now is trying to gain them back by being an asshole?

Please someone, make it make sense.

So he wants to get other countries to bring their business here but also wants the foreign experts to piss off after teaching the US citizens how to do their jobs. He also, in the same post, tells them how the US will then beat them at their own game after they need to be taught how to play because they couldn’t figure it out on their own.

I’ll rewrite it for whoever actually wrote this: “We suck, and we can’t build talent domestically. The plan is to get foreigners(who, I would like to remind everyone, we do not want here longterm) to teach us how to do things because we cannot understand it on our own. Then we will quickly become better than them somehow.”

It’s worse than this. We will steal your technology and cut you out of your business with our totally not idiocracy workforce, that must swear loyalty to the king to have their jobs. So fuck your business and trust in that our idiocracy will make your US operations execute as you hope.

“Defund”? Holy shit, they’re really completely fucking stupid haha.

And the best part is that we all know a tonne of people who have these views. We can pretend that these people are actually Russian spies or whatever but at some point we need to accept that Conservatives the world over genuinely are just stupid, angry, and short-sighted. It’s their entire MO.

But there is also the uncomfortable thought that all the education hasn’t helped the left leaning people to organise a better future.

Is it uncomfortable? Around the world “the right” is either already fascist or steadily(and happily) moving towards it while centrism is constantly constantly trying to pretend that everything is ok and that half-ass, less scary changes are implemented in place of better, full-fat ones which may alienate the right-wing voters who are increasingly calling for killing anyone who is slightly against them. The center also runs nearly entirely on “we aren’t the right” and people fall for it all the time.

Smart people know how to make shit work, and they know that because their education allows to perform studies to show that these things work but you try to get a bike lane installed in North America and see what happens. Facts don’t matter to way too many people and so many are also so poor that being deathly afraid of the threat of a teething period is not even wholly unreasonable, as much as we do need to just rip that bandaid off(and usually it just means taxing the rich and not the poor but again, try telling that to people who get their news from Facebook propaganda pages).

And if you’re saying that US Democrats are “the left” then we can’t even have this conversation until that’s sorted out.

I don’t know what you expect left leaning people to do with the rest of you working against us.

Capitalism enables the rich to implement policies to ensure they have all the power. Education won’t fix regulatory capture.

Most people just do whatever everybody else does. How come the rich can manipulate the masses if most creative people are left leaning? Regulatory capture is one thing, but if some bureaucrats can organise a regime change then all the left leaning people should be able to improve the situation.

To be fair, they already do. But whatever is, seems to be far away from what the left wants.

How come the rich can manipulate the masses if most creative people are left leaning?

Money, specifically propaganda. Humans will believe anything if it is repeated enough times. A collective of broke anarchist artists will never reach as many people as a billionaire funded think tank and advertising agencies.

if some bureaucrats can organise a regime change then all the left leaning people should be able to improve the situation

This is an odd “if”. If you’re referencing something, I don’t get it. Generally regime change is carried out by men with guns (far too often backed by the United States).

My question was “What do you expect left leaning people to do”. If you don’t have anything more specific than “improve the situation”, neither does anyone else. That is not terribly actionable.

Right? He doesn’t even know what they are, and while an Em Dash isn’t a guarantee of AI, anyone who is at all concerned about people thinking their writing is AI now avoid them.

So if this isn’t AI, its someone who failed to think things through. (But its AI.)

Sidenote: wouldn’t be surprised at all if Em Dashes leave our human lexicon altogether, given the negative association they’ve received. Like spelling changes, AI might just make our writing drift away from them altogether, until AI does get exclusive use of it.

I genuinely was not really aware of em-dashes before all this – I just used hyphens and semi-colons in pretty much the same way. Now I use em-dashes because it’s so easy to do and I don’t want to look like a rube, but now I wonder if people think I’m AI.

Fortunately, nobody online really gives a fuck about me or anyone else.

This is off topic but I wonder how long it will take before we learn the identities of the people who have access to Trump’s twitter account. Ever since presidents started using Twitter in office nobody really assumed they were writing posts themselves , they have comms teams for that. Trump’s relationship with Twitter had always been different, and the gimmick has always been that it’s his way to talk to the people without the MSM filter.

But we know at this point that he doesn’t write all his own posts and we also know that he sometimes criticizes specific companies. Anyone with even 15 mins of notice about these posts going live can make easy money on the stock market. It would almost be silly if there weren’t people making a killing off it.

Its illegal of course but that hasn’t mattered for a while.

He’s basically openly saying the US is trying to be like China when it comes to manufacturing (even though there is no possibility the US could compete due to extremely high labor costs)

Not to mention he’s backpedaling from kicking out the specialized employees there to build the EV factory. American employees were going to be trained to build the EVs, but there is no need for Americans to need to learn how to build a specialized Hyundai factory. Absolutely no excuse for this other than incompetence

High labor costs and environmental regulations … both of which MAGA is speed-racing getting rid of. If we actually end up being able to compete with China again in manufacturing, we’ll be (even more) utterly fucked (than we already are).
