New plasma stealth device targets specific areas, not entire aircraft.
According to a recent report from the South China Morning Post, Chinese scientists and engineers claim to have developed a plasma stealth device for military aircraft that is capable of rendering nearly any such aircraft undetectable by radar.
For those wondering, that is a american F-35A in the picture.
Edit: Also why do people assume stealth means invisable, there not the same thing.
Invisible*
*To specific detection systems within specific distances at specific times
Bet they shine like the noon sun in IR though
Knowing the Chinese tendency to
liemassage the truth this thing is probably only radar transparent in one frequency and lit up like a beacon in all other frequencies.Well yeah, that was my first thought. They coat a part of the plane with a radioactive isotope. It would have to be a lot of the stuff to ionize enough air around the part to hide it from radar. Considering that the plane is flying, and the air around it doesn’t sit still I would guess that in certain frequencies it would be bright as the sun. If this thing works as stated I wouldn’t get close to that thing without a decent amount of concrete between us.
Who wants to volunteer to pilot the cancer plane?
It’s like the Voyager episode, when the plane stops two lizards crawl out and mate in a nearby pond
Then abandon their offspring, complying with the One Child Policy.

Chinese Invisible fighter jet? At this time of year! At this time of day! In this part of the world! Localized entirely within your Country?!?[China]

May I see it?[China]
No.This is vaguely ringing a bell. What’s the reference?
Steamed Hams! That’s what I call hamburgers. It’s a regional dialect.
Big woop, the Amazonian Women have had this technology for Decades!
