You die as a hero or live longer to become a villain. I guess its the latter.
Hero is a bit of a stretch, but at least they tended to gravitate towards policy that benefit and protect members overall and were difficult to wholly be captured by single corporate interests.
the government-controlled authority would then be able to intercept the web traffic of not only their own citizens, but all EU citizens, including banking information, legally privileged information, medical records and family photos.
