  • Probably they hate XP because it introduced Windows Activation Services for the first time.

That said, XP did suck. Windows 7 and Windows 2000 were the best editions of Windows IMHO.

Vista was OK, once it had its bugs worked out with UAC. XP had tons of security problems. Windows 8 actively hated people who had keyboards and mice for some reason. Windows 10 was shoved full of telemetry, which Windows 11 has taken to the max, plus added AI slop.

  • The reason Americans don’t buy EVs is because all EVs sold in America are:

    1. More expensive than their ICE equivalents initially
    2. Are made by idiots like GM who make their cars only pre-2023 or for one year in 2026 (seriously GM just make the fucking Bolt)
    3. Nissan…who just FINALLY got it through their fucking heads that air cooled batteries and Chademo are bad ideas as they’re about to go bankrupt
    4. Are Tesla and financially supports the trillionaire neo-nazi.

There are very few basic, cheap EVs on the American market. Tesla is really the only one and most of us refuse to support that prick.

I just bought a used 2023 Bolt EUV a few months ago. Absolutely love the thing. I got it for $15.5k and it still has 5 years of warranty. And GM decided “hey…you know that car you love? We’re going to stop making it because it doesn’t have the margins our big boi SUV gas guzzlers have. Sorry and fuck you”.

  • This is a late-Gen Z/Gen A thing. They don’t use punctuation or capitalization anymore. Apparently they view it as too formal or “fake”. They relate it to “fake it til you make it” mentality in the workplace.

I know this is a “no the kids are wrong” take, but I just find it infuriating to read. I understand you want to be more genuine and I’m all for that…but if I can’t fucking read what you write because it’s 28 lines of all lower case, unpunctuated text…that’s not a “professional” versus “being genuine” problem. That’s broke ass communication.
