Don’t you have to use ‘\n\r’ instead of just ‘\n’ under Windows?

Fediverse@lemmy.world•One thing I think Lemmy is missing: recurring community eventsEnglish
1·15 days agoWell, every year Theres a giant canvas to paint onto (similar to r/place) and since last year we have been holding our own version of the ESC called Lemmyvision.
There are also some other events that happen regularly, but those are more bound to single communities.

8·15 days agoI have no complete list of the reforms, but the reforms include things like the ban to oust big housing companies (this is especially sketchy, since Theres an actual debate about this in Berlin), you now have to show a doctors note about you being sick from the first day on and at the same time it is no longer legal for doctors to create these notes based on a phone call, so now you have to walk to the doctor every single time you are sick.

4·19 days agoYou sound like you know what you’re talk7ng about. What does the span loss (db/km) actually mean? I am most curious about why its measured in db (I guess it gets done by that to represent the sum of the “intensity” of all waves across different wavelengths that falls of across longer distances). Also how much span loss do they have in this new experiment (if you know something like that)

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•"Linux? Those guys who like to talk about themselves?"
1·25 days agoLemmy is quite a niche platform on the fediverse. Its open source and run by a bunch of volunteers. This is very likely to attract technical people to a much greater extent, when comparing it to other social Media platforms. This naturally means, that we have a userbase, that cares about technical topics (like Linux) to a much greater extent than on other sites.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Me after Jerboa announced it is ending support
2·26 days agoNo. You can pull Jerboa from my dead hands.
I tried boost out, when it was relatively New and it was so completely bugged out, that it wasnt usuable at all. Voyager is working, but I absolutely dislike the UI. It is way too cluttered for my personal taste.
Jerboa is just perfect IMO. It may be minimalistic, but I Mike it that way.

So as soon as a trans Person is in hormines for St least some time, they can still participate. The law is still complete discriminatory bullshit, but it is not a complete exclusion (even tho they would have liked if it would be that way)

Than its that way. I never programmed under windows.
