      It also drastically increases wait times, and the additional time off of work is also a (much larger) form of poll tax. Especially considering how many democrats don’t work jobs where they can just take an entire day off on a whim. In my (conservative leaning) county, I can reliably vote in about 5-10 minutes. And most of that time is just filling in the little bubbles. Last time my wife and I went, there was only one person in line ahead of us. There are enough polling locations that I can expect any wait times to be minimal.

      But 50 miles away in the (liberal leaning) city, they have closed so many polling locations that wait times easily stretch into anywhere between 4 to 8 hours. For someone who is working a minimum wage job, it means you’re not voting if you have work that day. Oh, and it’s illegal to hand out water bottles to the people who have been waiting in line in the hot sun for 4+ hours.
