    Clickbait title. Going from 5% to 15% isn’t great, but it is still not that much in total and static compared to their result in the federal election in the same area 6 months ago.

      5% is too many. 15% is alarming.

      We’re talking people who believe in an ideology of hate, violence, racism, and the erosion of rights and freedoms.

      Wars were fought to make sure this shit never happened again, and here we are, happening all over the world.

        I’d say there always have been roundabout 20% of the population who held fascist views. Publically uttering those views and supporting fascist parties has been heavily stigmatised for a long time, though, so only very few dared to do so.

        Unfortunately, the media and mainstream political parties have been normalising fascist views to a point that their supporters dare to shamlessly show their faces out in public now.
