The move is a sign of increasingly close ties between the U.S. and Qatar.

Seriously. What a relatively small price to pay for the stupid amount of political capital it’s gotten them.

I think there may be a little bit more to the relationship between the USA and its protectorates than bribery, if you’ve got the time to listen.

Hell, if anything it saves them on not having to maintain a 747

Especially with the 747 being officially out of manufacturing in 2023. Parts prices and specialized technician costs are just going to go up more and more every year.

Why in the world are you guys assuming that’s the only bribe they’ve gotten?

If a 747 gets me Idaho, what do I need to upgrade to a Dakota? What about Texas?

Trust me, as someone who lived in both Dakotas, Idaho is definitely the upgrade.

Try letting a tree fall on you. Make sure you sue the ever living shit out of whoever owns that tree.

Oh, and then make sure that once you have the power to do so, you pass a law that prevents anyone else from suing the way you did.

(Greg Abbot did this, he’s the governor of Texas)
