You clearly don’t understand how organizational hierarchies work. In his position as ambassador he has zero leverage on military strategy, as he did in his military position. Why do you think he was removed from decisionmaking and the country itself?
They are doing fine, they maintain a large reserve, 3 times larger reserves of diesel and crude, 22% of refineries sit idle normally, and the drone attacks penetrating are causing inconsistent damage, at most shutting places down for a week or two. Gas tank explosions look big, but it’s apparently not hard to fix. Who knew refineries planned for fuel accidents? I digress. Friend of mine just did a detailed breakdown of what exactly the damage being done to Russia’s gasoline refinement is, what the reserves are, and what escalation options Russia has postponed until now. You should be concerned about the ability to keep trading blows like this. I know you love watching Ukraine getting fucked up, but I hate seeing good infrastructure go to waste. They waited to start hitting gas infrastructure until January, remember that. There was a real hope the rail and pipelines might keep flowing to Europe.
