The balance of power in the House now stands at 217 Republicans, 212 Democrats, and one independent, who caucuses with Republicans. The latest margins come after the death of a Democrat in Georgia was announced on Wednesday.
who cares about the courts; they’re illegitimate. just do it anyway.
Over/under on how much longer the will of the people can be denied before we move to the next phase of this unravelling?
I can’t understand why it’s hard to find an article that actually mention’s the basis for blocking things. The CNN article has it
A judge in rural southern Virginia on Wednesday ordered that the results of Tuesday’s vote not be certified on several grounds, including that state lawmakers did not follow their own rules in passing the redistricting referendum. Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley also called the ballot language put to voters “flagrantly misleading.”
Sounds like this same judge already had a couple of previous attempts to stop the referendum stayed by the state supreme court.
WA voters who saw multiple initiatives that passed be shutdown by courts: “First time?”
It’s funny how people cry for democracy until it’s something they don’t like and they have a few “non partisan” judges in their pocket.
The rich talking about democracy is like a catholic bishop talking about god - they know it’s not real, it just helps them distract people from all the child rape.
Which initiatives? The only one I can think of is the one for natural gas hookups, but I could be missing one.
I’ve noticed that you seem to hate living in WA, every comment you make about it is hating on it in some way. You’ve even claimed that blue states deserved raids by ICE because they have gun control. Look at all of your comments in the Washington community: they’re mostly anti-legislature, hating on WA voters, or blaming anyone besides the rich (Brian Heywood) when ballot initiatives don’t work out. Why do you live here if you hate it so much? There are plenty of nearby states that are cheaper to live in and do not have the democratic supermajority that you hate so much.
I wonder if you’ve found Tim Eyman’s account, lol.
