    It doesn’t use a very rigorous methodology - it looks likely imo that their original 2018 assumptions are not valid in 2024, whether or not they were accurate in 2018 (estimated by the paper at 2.55 GW [hours?]). The energy consumption is worrisome, I agree. At the same time, the energy consumption of all of our industries is extremely worrisome - in 2022 the world consumed 178,899TWh.
