You may read here about what data is collected using Mozilla Account https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/mozilla-accounts/ , mostly for improving own products, something for ad partners. Also according to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/ all collected data will be shared or sold to other company if Mozilla goes bancrupt. If you are paranoid you would call it privacy nightmare. LibreWolf turns sync off by default. Personally I am not paranoid and use sync, yet I believe it is bad, they could collect less info, as they claim about being privacy first, which is obviously false.

How else would it work? Companies are bought and sold all the time. Do we expect them to just delete all user data the moment it passes over?

Could have been a click here to inport your user data.

Fakespot is shutting down and moving to Mozilla. Nothing will ultimately change, but you need to proactively transition by clicking this button.

I’m asking a practical question. Why debate, discuss and push for privacy standards if we can’t offer solutions to these technical or disruptive issues.
