That’s such a bad take. Do you not know about movie theaters? Or theaters?

They actually tell you to turn off your ringer before the movie and to be mindful of others.

Next you’re gonna be telling people not to expect quiet at a library.

Im sorry but if you go see a participational movie expect to see the audience participate.

Just another reason to never go to a public movie theater.

I’m sorry I think you may be confused about terminology here. Give me an example of a movie which enlists audience participation.

If I had multiple bad experiences I definitely would consider stop watching movies in theaters.

If enough people stopped watching then theaters would go out of business for everyone so I understand why they are trying to crack down on disruptive viewers

Yeah if I went to an audience participation movie and some bitch was whining about others enjoying themselves in a non traditional way then I would start avoiding theaters more too

That’s the concept of voting with your wallet and that’s something we should do more of. Neither way is correct, but if enough people were to vote with their wallet, we could have “quiet please” and “audience participation encouraged” niches being filled by smaller theater operators instead of soulless corporate owned megaplexes.
