The Supreme Court has blocked an order for the Trump administration to return to work thousands of federal employees who were let go in mass firings aimed at dramatically downsizing the federal government.
Same thing they did with Abrego Garcia and with the deportation flights to El Salvador. They’re trying to give the appearance of a fair legal system by letting the trials go on while bending over backwards to give the government everything they want and every procedural advantage they can come up with. It seems like by the time we get to the actual trials they’re just going to be hollow propaganda events
with a predetermined outcome, and afterwards everyone will say “Well, we can’t really be living in a dictatorship, there was a trial! I don’t agree with the court’s decision but I have sworn to uphold blah blah blah”
