Not in the slightest. But we are an empire in decline. A decline that was already happening before Chump. He just accelerated it. No empire has ever gone down quietly. Neither will ours. But it is going down. This is happening.

Best we can hope for is some kind of soft landing. But I’m expecting balkanization. It’ll start with California. They’re an economic powerhouse all on their own. Independent of the larger US as the 9th largest exonomy on earth. Texas will try. But it won’t go well for them. It’ll rejoin Mexico after a couple years of stumbling along on their own with the incompetent leadership they’ve had since the mid 90s. A lot of Canadian border states will join Canada.

We’re in for a bad time. But that’s ok. 300 million vs 8 billion is easy math. And without the US’ regressive hand at the till this world can progress. Advance.

Yes, I’m sure that when American hegemony is replaced by Chinese hegemony, all peoples of the world will rejoice and join hands in unity toward shared goals.

Independent of the USA , California will experience a massive decline. It will not be the 9th largest economy and will likely resemble an Eastern European economy very quickly.

Definitely. Nobody gets out of a failing empire whole. What was the benchmark for a safe, stable, post soviet union satellite? The lack of a genocide or civil war?
