Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram after the Department of Homeland Security suggested they may pursue arrests of three Democratic lawmakers who partook in a protest outside of an ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), Rob Menendez (D-NJ) and LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) all attended the protest.

The oligarchs have the population exactly where they want them to be: poor, unhealthy, divided and unable to mount a concrete unified resistance.

Despite the perception that we are a country of cowboys, not all of us believe that the solution to our problems is to go out and start killing people.

Which is cool and all, but fascism has never been beaten in a peaceful manner. Fascists don’t give a shit about how peaceful or honorable you are. They’ll strip you of your rights, imprison anyone who disagrees, and murder the people they don’t like.

Well you can go out there and brandish a firearm at gesticulates vaguely all you want then. Let me know how that works out for you.

I’m not american, so thankfully I’m not in a position to, but either you lay down, and let them do whatever they want to do like the ordinary germans in the 1930’s, or you stand against it, because freedom and democracy is worth dying for. If democracy isn’t worth dying for, then you won’t ever be able to have it.

You have no clue what I do with my time/effort/resources to push back man. You’re strangely binary about this. You make it sounds like it’s “lay down and die” or “get a gun and start blasting.” Let’s say I even buy into your view on this, where do I start? Do I just go take a crack at a politician? Walk around strapped threatening people? What are you actually advocating for here?

Not a bad start tbh. Will it cost you? Yes, it absolutely will, but showing the fascists that they are a target is important. You need them to be scared for their life. If they know they may very well be killed for what they’re doing, they aren’t going to do it. None of the fascists in charge of the american government will ever actually be prepared to risk anything, 'cause they have never in their lives ever risked anything. Everything they’ve ever done has been completely free.

Pretty fucking easy to say from the sidelines. Frankly your comment is unhinged. You’re literally saying I should just go out and kill a politician. Don’t even have the common sense to think about some sort of concrete end game here, just spread fear and terror and somehow that’ll win the day.

Ask Luigi how that’s worked out. Really shook up healthcare that one.

What makes you think you have to kill people? Why not just sink their yachts, burn their planes and homes? Dox them. Shut down airports with drones – nationally. Burn their warehouses, datacenters, factories. Hack their computers and steal their money. Etc… etc…

Americans are so indoctrinated that they think killing is the natural next progression of peaceful protests.

Humiliating them is much more damaging to their stupid movement.

I want you to read their comments and tell me that isn’t the conclusion. Don’t pull that internet argument bullshit. You know damn well what they mean - they’ve even confirmed it as I repeatedly said that’s what they’re saying.

Meant to have text with that. Many would disagree. The US has a long history of resistance with guns and knives that is weirdly not talked about. I don’t remember schools ever teaching us about bloody Kansas or the coal wars despite the massive influence they had on American history.
