Well, I have heard some from like comedians or whatever, and maybe back when I was in school some dickhead I don’t talk to would make some joke, but those are a far cry from “friends,” who I do talk to. Now working in a corporate environment, no, I definitely don’t hear HR bait like that ever, most people are a tad smarter than that it seems.

It could be that I’m “friends” with my “friends” because “none of us are the type to rape people” and stuff, of course. Maybe you’re just hanging out with rapists and I’m not?

And when did I say I was worried about being killed? Statistically if I am, it probably was my partner, since that’s how that works, but I’m simply speaking on the logistics of educating my friends about rape, it’s just not something that’s gonna come up like that, we’re just trying to play spades and sip some whiskey we’re not interrogating each other over our sexual history.

I gotta ask, do you think guys just sit around saying shit like “bro I was raping this girl just the other day…” or something? And when you find out your friend has raped someone which always is found out through the girl, not the friend, because again these people know they’re committing literal crime, you don’t sit him down and explain what he did wrong as if he didn’t know, you call the cops or you cut contact, maybe some violence thrown in. Actually that’s not strictly true. ALL FFL dealers require ID, and private sales are subject to enough laws that you really have to at least verify the buyer is:

A) 18-21 depending on hand/long gun,

And

B) In state, as selling to someone out of state is mostly illegal (depends on your state, but it’s the safe bet).

Most gun shows are stocked by FFL dealers but even if not, the smart private sellers who don’t enjoy prison still ID (and write your ID# down on the bill of sale at that in case you are a fuckhead and cops come sniffing later, it’s mostly to CYA, but most people CYA.)

But the thing is full autos have been banned since 1986 (38yr ago), “prebans” were all manufactured before then and even those are subject to the NFA (you can only have"postbans" with an SOT, which basically means “gun manufacturer or federally licensed salesman”), so no currently “to be added” gun control regulates full auto since it is already tantamount to illegal. They are trying to ban semi autos that happen to look like they maybe could be full autos but don’t function the same, which is what people take umbrage with. (Semi auto being “how you normally think guns function” probably, one bullet per pull of trigger, auto being “pull trigger, gun go bang until not pull trigger”). Also btw “weapons of war” all pretty much do the “full auto” thing, (thus the difference between ar15 and m16/m4,) all those “weapons of war” as you say are actually those aforementioned pre- or post-ban machine guns that civilians basically can’t get already (unless they were manufactured before 86 and their form 4(iirc) gets approved by the ATF, or they have their FFL and SOT.)

Furthermore anyone with felony convictions (basically all violent crime), or even misdemeanor DV convictions (aside from VT of all places, for some fucking reason) are already federally barred from firearms ownership.

Furtherfurtherrmore “stores” (FFL dealers, as they’re known) are legally required to run an FBI background check (NICs, ATF Form 4473) on ALL gun sales they do. Private sellers don’t, but they’ve been asking for access to NICs for YEARS and the state won’t give it to them, and there are more restrictions on private sellers (mostly, the ATF comes knocking with “sufficient quantity…” which they can make up on a whim, “within a year.”)

I may or may not work in the industry, there’s a lot more that goes into it than you’d think.

Edit: OH, “Anime” lol I can’t read. Not sure Flo counts as anime though, and tbf we don’t have many anime (if we’re talking about Japanese style animation) mascots, but the Brawny lumberjack and Mr. Clean are animated as are many other things.

The consequences are a prerequisite to get “your own” page, I’d argue. I’d say it only counts as “yours” if you’re identified, the page for say The Zodiac or D.B. Cooper it isn’t “yours,” it belongs to the named entity as an idea, until linked with “your” identity.

But on a real note, I think most people have already figured this out, it has to contribute at least a little to such public displays, otherwise they’d be trying to get away with it.

Android. It might be a shock, but it’s great once you get used to it. I completely degoogled and went with apps that don’t spy, which was the hardest part, but you could set up a separate user profile for spyware stuff like snapchat or whatever. It might be beneficial to go ahead and get one, flash it, and use it with wifi or a prepaid sim for a bit while you still have your regular phone as a backup/main if you’re worried about the transition.

For sure I’m just joking about apple’s habit of taking a feature that has been around for YEARS and claiming they “innovated” it, usually after they strip it down a little no less (like in this case where it appears to be a setting users can’t access, but Graphene lets you turn it on/off or adjust the time between lock and reset.)
