With each lazy and unnecessary cash grab remaster we move closer to the day a remaster announcement is made at the end of a game’s release trailer.

Very excited for you to take on the Sierra Madre! It’s a pretty divisive DLC, people either really love it or really hate it. I personally really enjoyed it, but there are certainly parts of it where I can see how they’d make some people dislike it.
I didn’t realise. I’m not familiar with this site, but as already said in the other comment they apparently run different headlines for mobile/desktop. Maybe all sites do and I’ve just never realised.
What, you don’t cool your rig with liquid nitrogen? AIO water cooling is so 2010s 🙄
A true man of culture, refinement and impeccable taste.
This all sounds great, but the one thing I truly wish they’d eventually add is official VR support. I played the game briefly with the VR mod, and it was already apparent how well the game is suited for it, but I wish it had fully integrated VR controls for full immersion.
OP, why did you editorialise the title? Much like the other commenter I was initially offended on Uematsu’s behalf, but after clicking the link I noticed the original headline was:
How Final Fantasy maestro Nobuo Uematsu legitimised video game music
UPCOMING
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Go home Polygon, you’re drunk.
It’s an underappreciated fact that art direction trumps graphical fidelity, and it’s not close. Grim Fandango for example is old as dirt but still holds up remarkably well thanks to its unique look and strong art direction, despite being challenged polygonally and resolution-wise etc. There are many other examples.
Would have preferred a regular livestream with all donations going to the Gaza cause rather than a paywalled stream.
Always exciting to watch! If anyone wants to discuss the matches or event in general we have discussion thread open over at !dota2@lemmy.ml
Apparently Rule 34 art of said goblin outnumber art of all the rest of the cast combined. Not a review per se, but… at least the playerbase seem to share your enthusiasm?
Not included in the headline: new players will now only be matched with other new players until they achieve 4 wins. I don’t think this patch will have completely solved matchmaking (since they already admitted last week that MMR was not working well and that wasn’t addressed) but I think stuff like this, the behaviour system and low priority queue will have a great impact that was sorely needed.
I believe “Russian Bot Farm Presence” is the preferred metric of social network relevance in the scientific community.
Typing this on Sync. Everything seems to be working for me.
I don’t really agree with the selection or the ranking, but I do really appreciate the attempt of going for “what’s best to play right now” instead of ranking by historical significance or some kind of futile “objective” quantification.
It works better as a sort of “100 good games to play in no particular order, with individual descriptions of why” than any sort of ranked list to compare with other ranked lists, though.
$40 is like 40 pulls, maybe?
It depends on how you spend it. The best bang for the buck top-up pack - the $99 one - works out to about 20 pulls per $40 (this includes first-time purchase bonus). If you spent your $40 on the $5 monthly subscription (and logged in every day to claim it) it would work out to 160 pulls for your $40 - but it would take you 8 months to claim.
I remember EverQuest being called EverCrack back in the day before WoW.
To me this feels like perfectly within the scope of what should be the realm of “remaster”, it’s just that history teaches us to expect less.
