1·8 months ago80€ is crazy nintendont games are just crazy priced and have fun getting one second hand games if nintendo allows it. 80€ for a AA game is much and a scam for a re released game because of a new poatform even tho old switch games should work.

85·8 months agoIf i am honest i dont have any games that DONT run on. It can run cyberpunk, baldurs gate, a lot other AAA / Indie games.
If it doesnt run, the devs did something SPECIAL to f*ck steamdeck / linux users.
The suspend game feature is probably the biggest player, especially when its idle it doesnt use any power ( except of course the common battery drain ) in comparison to windows “sleep” it just blacks out the screen and maybe run a little less background tasks.

87·8 months agoToe to Toe? At least the steamdeck can run Crysis. Switch not, easy Steamdeck win.
Performance upgrade on a already locked on 60fps ( some 30 ) games? on default on a LCD display? That they didnt even considered default on OLED display is just … cash grabby.

121·8 months agoWoah in 2 years, that will be definitly not be forgotten until then…
Ohh yeah i have an nvidia gpu and for some games i have to switch to an oldeer/newer driver, but thats nvidia
The same with windows tho, you always have to find solutions.
I was on linux mint, kde plasma and another rather odd distro with a window manager. All worked out of the box. But i saw hell let loose with someone with cameras and just the cameras, the rest seemed fine and in working condition.
> Linux
> Everything works out of the box in comparison to dindows ( no driver search, no go to installer page x, no installer page z, no search for updates, everything in one place )
> Gets in all games 10+fps more because of reduced bloat
> Distro hops back and forth with no data or functionality loss and almost 1 click “restoration” of apps etc.Is it just me?
But i can understand if artists really need photoshop they cant do that on linux because adobe explicitly gives no f*ck about any linux compatibility.
I must say if an app doesnt work, mostly its intentionally by the devs, and that sucks. Especially on games with Kernel level spy… i mean anti cheat.

It will be priced as it isnt locking you into a ecosystem like meta, so it will be of course a bit more pricey. ( rumors say roughly 1200$ )
