Damn I had to look that up cause it seemed unbelievable. I am shocked it reviewed that well. It just seemed so awful to me.
Am I so out of touch?? No, the children are.

After the borderlands 3 trainwreck it seems weird that people are apparently buying BL4
I will admit I had to fiddle with some settings to get it smooth on a few of these games. Par for the course on PC. One thing that I’ve turned off is actually that frame gen stuff - it makes my frames choppy. I think its weird because if I had a variable frame rate normally my gsync monitor handles that but with frame gen it seems to really fuck it up. Otherwise I always set to my monitor resolution and 100% scale, DLSS on, and crank everything to epic. Cant remember if Remnant had RTX but thats one thing I set to medium or low usually, that shit is a hog in almost every game.
I played Remnant 2 on my rtx 3080 and had no issues with it performance wise. I think I had one instance of getting stuck on world geometry but that was it really. Mostly in multiplayer too, played the whole thing with 2 friends.
I also had great experiences with Claire Obscur, Split Fiction, Tempest Rising, The Alters, and Talos Principle 2. All of them are UE5. I dont really like Epic or Tim Sweeney so I wouldnt normally defend them, but its more that I wouldnt be too quick to blame the engine when all these other devs can do it right.
Fetterman is just proof that brain damage causes republicans. Maybe RFK jr too but somehow I doubt that guy was ever normal
I always had to hide my damn headphone cables, she would sniff those things out if I ever left them laying around. Like WTF cat?!
You… Chew on cords?? What are you, my cat?
Many home camera companies use subscriptions as an excuse to store your recordings in the cloud and allow you to view or access them remotely on a phone app. I havent put up any that do that, but a shitload of other people have.
Frigate is a custom OS for NVRs. The NVR stores the recordings, and the OS ideally puts you in complete control of the cameras and associated data. I am working on getting hardware that will let me install it, so I am only saying its worth taking a look at but am not endorsing it since I have not successfully uses it yet.
The reason I say to use wired cameras is because they are more secure and can get continuous power instead of worrying about rechargung batteries. You can run them with no internet connection and control your local recordings that way. The drawback is that its only accessible by direct physical means. If someone breaks in and steals that hard drive then the whole system is worthless.
For cameras look for NVRs that let you hook up wired cameras to. I have yet to try it but have heards that installing Frigate lets you have complete control over the recordings. Riolink and Lorex both offer systems that dont require subscriptions and supposedly let you keep your data local. I am still trying to determine what to do myself, its not a simple thing, it always seems to boil down to a matter of trust or I need to study and develop technical knowledge that I really dont have a ton of spare time for
Sekiro is as close as you’re gonna get to that for now. But yes.
It seems lazy to take this long to call them lazy. I think I dropped off around MW3 maybe? Just remember feeling like too much of a rehash back then.
Makes for a good headline. Radiation is the thing few people understand and most people fear.
I suppose the possibility exists that the number stated is what was found, but if the shrimp was only spot checked then contamination could exist in higher concentrations. Really depends on how it got contaminated which they dont say.
Says the EPA limit is 1200Bq/kg, and the shrimp are at 68Bq/kg, so its nowhere near the limit. The way I see it I can eat 17.6kg or 38.8lbs of that shrimp before it hits that limit, and I know those limits are conservative for safety reasons, so I can exceed that without too much concern.
Based on some other limits from the NRC and some very rough math I would be willing to eat up to 98000 pounds of that per year. I’ll play it safe and take about 2000 pounds of free shrimp please.
How the hell are GTA and Red Dead still selling this much? Like, I get that they are good games but holy shit theyve been out a long time, I would have thought most people that want them would have bought them ages ago
I think the early weapons are stiff but the later ones have better move sets. What is cool is if you find a move set you like it is attached to the handle, so you can swap that with a blade you’ve upgraded. New moves, retain your upgrades. Unfortunately doesnt work with the special weapons, which tend to have some of the better move sets too, but still a neat feature.
Absolutely love this game for a lot of the reasons you listed and more. They really give you a lot of tools to toy around with and solve problems your own way. I spent my first playthrough carrying turrets everywhere with me and setting up killzones to lure enemies into, spent another using my powers to blast the shit out of everything, and then yet another using the goo gun on just about everything I could. That goo gun seems lackluster at first but really is one hell of a useful tool. Black hole grenade things are awesome too, use them wisely to get a ton of good resources.
A lot of people did not like the mooncrash DLC but I found it enjoyable too. Its definitely different, with the way you need to replay and upgrade characters between who each have a different set of skills. The hazards change each playthrough but the map layout itself doesn’t. When you learn your way around its satisfying to do the whole thing in one run trying to get every character to escape. Just takes a different kind of planning. Maybe being on a timer messed people up,
It goes on sale all the time for around $5. Its almost tragic, I think it sold poorly, but its really a great game.
…yup. I didn’t get far. I vaguely remember there were a bunch of other little things but that one drove it home. It was literally a tamer version of fallout 3 opening.
When I click this link Fdroid says “no such app found”, and it doesnt appear when I search. What gives?
There are lots of ways to block those signals. Paint is a dubious method. Look into Faraday cages. Tin or copper ceilings and roofs found in old homes have a tendency to do this. Thick concrete works pretty well too.
Here’s the thing - it will block all signals. Say goodbye to cell service. Make sure you have wired connections where you need them.
