You’ve been paying for boomers’ retirement, there literally won’t be enough young people to pay for ours unless rich people start having to actually pay into it too (on their whole wealth/income not just the measly limit we have now)

It would require a Manhattan Project sized effort, but I think it could be done
I mean…I don’t want to live in it, I just want it to be able to handle both roads and rails and zip me around
Maybe it’s back down to “normal” inflation rates… But Kamala should have come out swinging to raise minimum wage to $25/hr, tie it to inflation, and mandating everyone get a 40% raise to counter the 40% inflation we’ve had since the last time minimum wage was raised. Something along those lines… As one thing in a long list of things she should have done… Sure it might have cost her the (checks notes) zero votes she was able to scrape off Trump’s boots, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.
I want to be done with car shaped cars… I want a self driving room to show up…I want to say “send me a living room/bedroom/office/whatever,” and have a room shaped vehicle show up to get me. I want that vehicle to drive me to the nearest train tracks and hop on the tracks itself and then zoom me to the nearest hyper loop and jump itself on that to zip me across the country in an hour… Join up with other “rooms” as you go to create a typical looking train
They’ll make sure the program sunsets as the last boomer takes their last breath
Okay boomer
It wouldn’t be easy, but I think people, especially young people, want to vote for people who will actually fight… Over and over as long as it takes
They could at least try to end corporate personhood… make it so that corporations are not protected by the 1st amendment and don’t get free speech… Anything they blast out needs to be scrutinized and any misinformation needs to have heavy penalties… Sure the actual person saying the thing is protected, but the corporations pushing it out or allowing it to go out through them get crushed under fines… This would require a party that is not working for the oligarchy/donors though
Green party voters had no effect on the results… Even if every one of them had voted for Harris in every swing state she still would have lost them all (the ones that have been called anyway, and they were enough for him to win)… This loss lands squarely on the Democrats shoulders, they are the problem, not the green party
If you put some bacteria in a petri dish, they might even up creating a very complex system… But they’ll always be constrained by the petri dish. We can look at the petri dish and say it’s having XYZ effect, without necessarily having to get too into the weeds about the complexities of what’s happening inside the dish.
One major problem with our current economic system is that it allows a small group of people to limit resources that would not naturally have to be limited (false scarcity). Sort of like if the rules called for throwing baseballs at people’s heads to see the effects of TBIs.
The economy is not a natural phenomenon, it was designed… Economists explaining “how things work” is like someone explaining how baseball works… That’s great, but it’s time to change to an entirely different game, so you telling me how baseball works is worthless
Ugh… We need ranked choice so bad
“The war to end war” (also “The war to end all wars”;[1] originally from the 1914 book The War That Will End War by H. G. Wells) is a term for the First World War of 1914–1918. Originally an idealistic slogan, it is now mainly used sardonically,[2] since not only was the First World War not history’s final war, but its aftermath also indirectly contributed to the outbreak of the even more devastating Second World War.
Imagine if all those people stood together against genocide instead of dividing over it. Women alone are like half the population… Why are they siding with genocide? They could elect anyone they want. Anyone with health insurance? That’s almost everyone. Bam, anyone they want. If a gay person votes for genocide how much should I really give a shit about them? There’s no “meaningful choice” because the libs get out early saying so… But if it’s not this election then certainly by the next one, millennials and zoomers are gonna be done with the old boomer parties… And good riddance
They’ve probably also figured out how many people saying that will actually fold with a little arm twisting. Would be super interesting to see those numbers.
They only need to do that math in the swing states as well… But I wish someone would just show the math. Like, let’s see the projections for Zionist gains vs anti genocide losses in Pennsylvania… Even just one study and I’d be like, okay, there’s a legit reason for the gaslighting and bullshit. Gotta win to do anything.
