From watching 90s movies and of course without reading anything but the headline, I’m going to guess the challenger is a dog. “Airbud: Hungary” here we go!

For now
Well, the venn diagram lady lost the election so we had to cede the territory to the opposition.
Oh thank Moses I was wondering when all the flood of people telling me to not have kids was gonna stop! /s
Viewing politics as a spectator sport is certainly the fault of a misinformed, unenlightened electorate. The crappy candidates continue to pop up because that’s the best our corporate trash parties can do with political couch potatoes that are less interested in whether or not their neighbors suffer and die than about which walking cosmetic surgery mishap was a bitch at brunch, or which bimbo was chosen on the bachelor.
Trump himself is even a product of this couch potato culture and was well known before running for office for being the biggest, baddest boss of them all in a reality TV game show full of complete idiots pretending to run companies in front of cameras for the prize of a fictional job at a scam corporation.
They subbed out Jake from State Farm and it’ll never stop bugging me.
Maybe our bones will create a new layer in the Earth that’ll be covered over and the earths ecosystem will degenerate and eventually recreate itself billions of years later, leaving a future race of newly evolved, curious species to crawl out of the ensuing muck to find in us a great energy source trapped underground and drill it to the surface for use.

Yeah everyone forgets their heroine Elizabeth Warren felt it was a good idea to talk shit about Bernie every chance she got and further reduced his chances by dropping out last minute.
While claiming to be anarchists, socialists, progressives, leftists, whatever. I get the sour grapes, I do, but the reality is that you’re going to have to get off your couch and actually organize if you want something better than the corporate handout candidates the DNC is going to give you.
For all of the awful things about Trump, it’s really difficult to deny that he spent much more time and energy building a political movement than any other candidate since Obama.
They convince the rubes that you can vote in a different, more “traditional” culture than the one you currently disagree with despite not doing anything to move back to the economic conditions that made the “previous” culture possible in the first place.
It works to pull culturally regressive, economically movable morons into the coalition. But since voting out a culture is basically not possible because culture isn’t created by government in the first place, they’ll quickly learn that the PC lingo, “cancel culture”, #metooism, and “wokeness” still remain. Or they would learn that if they weren’t completely braindead and incapable of analyzing how their actions do or do not affect things.
every new tech has curves for their maturity, cultural & societal fit.
I’d believe this “nothing to see here” narrative if recent “advances” such as social media didn’t have measurable negative impacts. Things can get worse, and technology can assist that.
The voices coming out as skeptical of things, and the watchdogs telling you early on that these newly introduced things may present a problem are ultimately part of the apparatus that gets you “cultural and societal fit”. That doesn’t happen automatically and it’s called “the bleeding edge” for a reason.
Ultimately, I’m also not so sure about AI being a fad at this point. It sure looks like enough capital is invested in this stuff to make it be a thing even if nobody wants it.
It’s almost like they suck at making games now.
They need to address what people actually care for. Everyday costs.
Costs versus wages is a better metric to target. Costs always go up unless there’s deflation. Wages should go up to match.
My parents are pulling almost exactly this from my aunt and uncle because they’re Trump voters.

If history is any guide they’ll moan and complain, 2% of them will not buy the subscription, and then the other 98% will bend over and take it up the ass.
Nope.
Come on now don’t bring up that in one of the “left most” and most populous state in the union that people are actually pretty non leftist, it might contradict some of their feel based arguments.
America is not full of progressives. I don’t know why people here can never be convinced otherwise.
Enjoy Trump’s tariffs because that is somehow his answer to inflation.
Hope you stocked up on masks, folks. Having Mr. Bear meat in charge of public health and Mr. Tariffs in charge of the economy if another pandemic occurs is going to be a wild ride and with a four year term minimum we’ll be strapped in for the duration.
