This gives me flashbacks. I had to take Java exams with pen and paper. They took 6+ hours. The reason? Not enough computers for everyone and our teacher wasn’t willing to make 2 different exams, like every other fucking teacher does.

But you still did it, you monster.
I’m afraid it will sell well, like the 4060.
If you ever see yourself in the need of information about the DOS era again, Vogons is the place to go IMHO.
People should like Epic for giving more money to developers than Steam.
They give more money to publishers* That may or may not translate into more money for the developers, but seeing how the industry is going, I’m more inclined to believe devs don’t see a cent from the extra cut in most cases.
Sounds like regular alcohol to me.
You could post a collage of all 364 screenshots together, but that must be quite a bit of work.
I bought it for cheap after replaying Call of Cthulhu this winter, but couldn’t get into it.
You’re getting very close to 365, have anything special in mind for that day?
I hate the old before-my-time ‘tank controls’
Yeah, now I feel old. Crow Country is a nice little game, very nostalgic for old people like me ;p
I’m slowly making my way through Expedition 33 and loving every minute. I think I might be stuck for a while in a boss, will have to check a guide online.
Silent Hill 2 is such a great remake, I’m glad they decided to release it DRM-free. I played the original back in 2002 with a friend, but we were high as a kite and we were teenagers, so we didn’t really understand the story that well. When I played the remake in October I ended up crying, it’s a fucked up situation.
I spent months watching people play it for the first time on Twitch, quite entertaining and enlightening to see how differently everyone reacted to it. The thing every player had in common was that they started it thinking it was a cool, scary game (which it is) and ended up finding so much more. A masterpiece IMHO.
As always, thank you for your great post.
I’m one of those who have 10 or less games installed, because having more would only be detrimental to my experience. I’d be unable to choose and then I’d play even less than I already do lately.
P.S.: Thank you for the interview, very interesting.
They’re going to rename it as Library of America.
I’ll have to end up using the flatpak, yes, but I wanted to keep using the Steam version because of the cloud saves. There’s probably a convoluted way of using something like syncthing with it, but I’m not too keen on it. Thanks you!
Maybe I’m wrong, but I think there’s going to be a crash in the industry sooner rather than later. The situation is becoming unsustainable.
This is great news! Pretty awesome remake.
I’ve always enjoyed trying new technologies such as Ray Tracing or HDR, but all in all I agree with you, gameplay comes first. That’s why I’ve been falling in love with indie games more and more.
I own a NEC CRT and I use it even for modern games every now and then. I beat Silent Hill 2 Remake on it last year and it looks great. I can’t remember which resolution it was, but I only lost a bit of screen on top and bottom so it was playable even if the game didn’t come with 4:3 support.
I’ll always remember what I was doing on 9/11: Drinking ice coffee while watching the news after lunch. Not gay, btw.
