The gameplay can be fun, but the story just isn’t there. It’s connection to Bioshock 1 and 2 feels forced.
As soon as they do the first “dimension switch”, or whatever, I lost any feeling of commitment since everything done up to that point became worthless to the plot.
The super mario rpgs have some of the funniest writing imo. If anything, I think they were a breath of fresh air for the franchise.
Definitely recommend reading/listening to the books. Probably the best way to experience the Witcher overall.
I do love both the Witcher 2 and 3 though, few games make me feel as immersed in their world.
I recommend the movie; it’s essentially a loosely historical commentary on the political situation in the Soviet Union, at the time of Stalin’s death.
It’s fairly comedic and definitely worth watching.
