Allstate, I think. What’s weird to me is how close the character is to the same actor’s character on 30 Rock.

I’d be curious how many phone companies don’t outsource fabrication, even just for final assembly. Maybe Samsung doesn’t? LG, Huawei? And even then I suspect they’d try to retain some capacity with contract assemblers for redundancy in case of a disaster or other issue at their own facility or in case they get an unexpectedly high runner and need extra capacity to meet demand.
I miss Regis. I feel like he was one of the last real broadcasters on TV. Like, you could be producing a show and just drop him in with no notice and it would be fine. “Regis, thank God you’re here, our host just started projectile vomiting and we’re live in 10 minutes.” Doesn’t matter what the show is, a parade, interviewing young children or a Nobel prize winner, game show, sports broadcast, breaking news, he could do it and it wouldn’t be obvious he’d been on his way to the dentist ten minutes earlier.
Any significant reason to make an account with Mastodon vs. Misskey (or I seem to remember the latter having several forks?)?
Saving this to watch later; I love that game!
Wait, just so I’m understanding, the dock works with the LG TV if you connect your laptop or Surface Pro, but not your Steam Deck? If so, it sounds like there’s either a setting on your Steam Deck that needs to be changed or the Deck itself is faulty.
Does the Deck work with other HDMI monitors?
That’s insane! I pay a flat US$0.11/kWh, and if I wanted to go peak/off-peak it would be $0.15/0.06!
It’s really worth playing and often available for a very reasonable price. I don’t think it’s a genre that ever seemed like something that would appeal to me but I’ve found it very enjoyable.
$0.51/kWh?! Where on earth is that?!
Why is digital Billie Eilish the picture?
That looks like a TJ generation. I’ve also seen these with the JK (usually compared with a cow). I’d be curious to see the JL/JT, though, because they did a very clever job of rounding it off while making it look like it’s still flat.
I don’t do a lot of the kind of gaming where refresh rate really matters (I don’t think Civilization needs to be 120hz) and for other things I do I’d much rather have the pixels, so 4k/60hz for me.

How did you end up working for him a second time?
A friend lived in a similar small town and if I went down to see him Applebee’s was the only place with TVs where we could watch sports. We were so happy when they got a Buffalo Wild Wings, even if they’re overpriced and I can go to better, local sports bars at my house, it’s a dramatic upgrade for his town.
I’d need to see what comparable x86 processors and graphics are to the M4, but yeah, this seems like it could be one of the first Macs in a while to be really competitive on price. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen. Fifteen years ago, a couple years after Macintosh went to Intel, I bought a Mac Pro. I had a hard time comparing prices at first, but once I finally realized I needed to be looking at workstations instead of desktops the Mac Pro actually came out to be about $300 less than identically spec’d workstations from Dell and HP. That was about the price of a full retail license on Windows Vista Ultimate (or later Windows 7 Ultimate). With Boot Camp and feeling like I could find Windows on sale for less it actually seemed to make the most sense with the added benefit of access to both Windows and OS X. It was frankly the best Windows machine I’ve ever used. No bloat, and all the drivers worked.
Ah, the European method of placing ads in American shows anywhere, instead of using the spaces designed in the American shows.
