They already have started doing that

I believe she would have been marginally better than Biden but, as you continuously refuse to acknowledge because it completely defeats the point you are trying to make, that is not what we’re discussing here. Trump is indisputably going to be worse than either of them and that’s what you have chosen to support through inaction. You can talk in circles around that fact as much as you like but it won’t change reality.
Even if you disagree with that characterization you can’t dispute the fact that you’ve at least helped shut the door on the potential for improvement.
And yet accelerated genocide is the option that was chosen.
Look, I get the argument you’re making. The problem is that it hinges entirely on accepting a premise that isn’t based in reality. Progress, specifically as it relates to harm reduction, doesn’t happen instantaneously. It never has. You take the wins you can get and then push for the next step. You can be mad about that, and I would argue that we all should be, but it’s not going to change the way things work. In this case you’ve let idealism get in the way of actual tangible improvement. Even if you disagree with that characterization you can’t dispute the fact that you’ve at least helped shut the door on the potential for improvement. If you can find a way to rationalize that in your head to make you feel like the good guy then I understand why you would want to take that path, but do you honestly believe the people of Gaza take solace in the fact that you had good intentions? I’d wager they don’t give a shit how you frame this in your mind. They’re just thinking about what a Trump presidency means for the future of this conflict and that isn’t good by any stretch of the imagination.
I find it odd when someone says Trump is this or Trump is that as if he’s consistent on anything. His absurd narcissism is the only consistent thing about him. You can bet your ass he would drag us into a war if it would stroke his ego in some way.
That is what makes him so uniquely dangerous. He has no ideology to speak of. His focus shifts back and forth so often that trying to predict exactly what he’s going to do is impossible. You can say with certainty that he won’t be motivated by any sort of desire for the public good but that’s about as specific as you can get until he starts doing something.
You couldn’t make this buffoonery up!
Well somebody did
Yes they did all those things but at the end of the day the voters believed the lies because they wanted to. We (collectively) allowed the lies to replace the truth. That can’t be blamed on anyone else.
You’re mad, we get it. Still, if you’re not even wondering if Dems did the wrong thing by forcing Harris as the candidate then we’re not going to win next time either. We had Progressive Obama win in convincing fashion twice, followed by three neoliberals in a row with only one of them being able to eke out a win. That should paint a pretty clear picture of what we need to do to win going forward and it’s not trying the same fucking thing for a fourth time in a row.
The DNC sucks but they’re not the ones voting for Trump. This is what America wants. Stop deflecting and deal with the reality that this is who we are.
Or maybe Americans are largely shitty people. Stop trying to excuse the behavior and accept it for what it is
Trump looks poised to win the popular vote as well. The system doesn’t help but the problem is ultimately us, not the system. We have failed culturally, socially, spiritually, emotionally, however else you want to describe it. Look the failure in the face and prepare yourself to deal with it for the rest of your life.
Maybe him personally but someone like him will replace Trump. I’d bet lots of money they’re not going back to someone like Mitt Romney or John McCain.
No you either took it home with you and brought it back later or you saved it in your memory for future use.
It’s true. Everyone who grew up in the early 90s or before has at least one story about finding porn in the woods, including myself.
Trump is still around though. I bet FL man takes a big step up in popularity once that’s no longer true.
Social media surely makes it worse but blaming the problem on that lets individuals off the hook. At the end of the day it is everyone’s responsibility to discern what is true from what is not. Being led astray does not remove your role in allowing that to happen.
When you’re in the shower you can see the penis
Those people might well exist but I think it’s fair to say that if the survival of American democracy depends on convincing people like that to not support the obviously evil candidate then we’re well past the point that the derailment of the train can be avoided.
Hockey really is better than all other sports for fans. I say that as someone who did not grow up playing or watching hockey and only started watching about 4 years ago.
The games are exciting and not too long, regular breaks are built in but when play is happening there’s not much down time, it hasn’t yet gotten absurdly over-commercialized compared to many other sports (in both senses of that word), and attending a game is more fun than any other sporting event I’ve experienced.
Seriously, I’ve been to hundreds of football games from middle school all the way up to professional, along with quite a few baseball / basketball / wrestling / track events and I would say all but one of my all-time favorite sporting events were one of the relatively limited number of hockey games I’ve been to. They are a ton of fun even for new fans who have basically no idea what’s going on.
