Super cool piece of history, its easy to forget often people are just flying by the seat of their pants despite the way history and photographs make it look / feel otherwise.
I don’t think they were doing EVAs or anything, so I don’t really know how impressive the boots need to be, although I am thinking the construction boots / loggers on the middle two are not the regulation ones.
I am picturing them realizing they didn’t bring their boots or they were still being made on picture day, so NASA engineers running around trying to find people who had a pair of boots they were willing to let them spray paint LOL.

also this is global, so I thought there was a strong correlation between agrarian societies, having low or depressed wages, and having lots of kids to help with the farm labor, or because there isn’t much else to do for fun.
This could be a regressive imperialist view, idk, but its what I was always told about the correlation between wages and children, especially on a global scale - would be interested to see this same chart for singular countries, the USA for example.
Other commenter pointed out that typically higher incomes generally come with rights for child bearers… So that also could have something to do with it too.
Anecdotal, but partner and I have put off having children multiple times due to affordability, IE who can take that much time off work and still pay food/rent costs?

Congress has tried to shutdown the A-10 program multiple times due to the fact that it would not fair well in peer, let alone near peer contested airspace, was trying to discuss with fellow airplane enthusiasts since both these planes were taken down by Iran, or mechanical failures.
