Europe@feddit.org•Is VAT straightforward in Europe than USA?English
2·2 days agoYes, but I’m talking about regular stores. Not the kind that you visit for office supply and such. If you’re aren’t a business owner, you never have to think about VAT.

3·2 days agoSure, but regular stores don’t have such listings. Everything is VAT included.

Europe@feddit.org•Iran allows Spanish ships to use the Strait of Hormuz for freeEnglish
2·3 days agoYes, there were some protests around that. I’m talking about the time leading up to that; it was as if you couldn’t criticize USA because we all had to “stick together in a time of crisis” (this was more or less verbatim what our politicians said here in Sweden).
(I do agree about the Zelensky treatment, though. Fuck Vance and his cohort all the way to hell and back.)

Europe@feddit.org•Iran allows Spanish ships to use the Strait of Hormuz for freeEnglish
3·3 days agoThe thing with Bush was that a large number of people here in EU despised him and was sick of the US’s continual involvement in international affairs. There were protests when he visited, and a big movement opposed him wherever he went. That lasted until 9/11, at which point US became the big victim, and all critics went silent.

51·8 days agoIf i’s implemented the right way, it could be. AI can be used for good things even if the knee-jerk reaction of so many people online is to equate it with crap.
Hm, yes I suppose you can see it that way. Personally, I’m mostly interested in if it’s a community thing or not, but I suppose corpo donations can be found all over these as well.
Hmm, I don’t see how Corporate can be on a scale though. Either the distro is run by a corporation, or it’s not.

I would say that a large community distro has most longevity of all variants. It doesn’t matter if some leave, others will join. It also doesn’t matter that the distro ain’t making profit, because it isn’t a company.
