If you read it aloud it doesn’t sound right, but from a mathematical perspective it’s saying the number of steps per day should be less than 500, which I think is the intention of the writer, no?

I experienced a poop knife in real life. In Boy Scouts, there’s a thing where you can go sail in a boat off the coast of Florida for a week. When the captain explained the rules, he talked about a stash of disposable knives in the head (bathroom).
Basically, he had issues with kids trying to hold their poops until they got to the mid-week stop on shore. They wouldn’t make it and ended up clogging the 30 foot boat’s plumbing with their product, so he explained that if we took a big enough shit we had to cut it up before flushing.
Yep. I remember you could go to *.on.nimp.org and it’d lock up the browser with alert() loops, play something loud and obnoxious, and show shock images. In middle school we’d convince people to go to something like runescapehacks.on.nimp.org in school. I specifically remember one that said “Everyone come look, I’m looking at gay porn!” on repeat.

A rattlesnake can certainly communicate using sound, but is that language? Bright colors can communicate ideas of “do not eat this” across species as well, but they wouldn’t fit my mental model of a language.
