I’m aligned with your perspective, and I appreciate the clarity you’ve brought to this facet of the conversation. From a tactical standpoint, I want to loop in the stakeholders to ensure they are also in sync with the continued usage of buzzwords.
If you run into any blockers, please circle back.

I recently drove eight hours on a trip. It’s brutal, but you’ll be fine.
My dog would look awesome in a hat. I need to look into this.
kill me…
I can only consume so much bad news before I go binge watch something funny or a show where good triumphs over evil.
It might be learned helplessness, but right now there don’t seem to be a lot of things normal citizens can do. Crazy people took over, and all the protesting and pleading in the world won’t prevent them from doing what they want to do.
My guess is the protests will be escalated by the administration. Maybe they’ll toss in a few paid agitators. A cop or ice agent gets shot. Trump makes a rambling speech about law and order. Declares martial law and becomes a real dictator. The protests have been largely cool so far and it is obvious that is not what he is looking for.
Anyways yeah, sorry I’m going to watch some TV and dissociate.
Edgar Allan Poe, poor guy
I feel like weed Whacker/Eater are brands like Kleenex. In my head it is a string trimmer.
I usually say “I’m going to trim the yard”.
It’ll go on sale for $15 eventually. I can wait.
Hudson, now there is a name I haven’t heard in a very long time.
I think the grammar and capitalization is too normal. The president isn’t smart enough to write something coherent.
Recently switched to a new contract, which resulted in me switching from IDEA Ultimate to vscode. This picture is terribly accurate.
In intellij I usually do code reviews by checking out the code and comparing the branch to origin/main to step through the changes. Just a right click menu option to compare branches.
I took for granted that this is just a thing IDEs should do, so I looked in vain for a while before googling it and finding out I need a plugin for that. (If I’m wrong please help me find the button, I still believe it must be in there somewhere. Surely the owners of GitHub can compare branches?)
I know this one weird trick to avoid this…
It was probably pretty gnar
A lot of companies have been doing this for years. AWS literally sells this as a service: https://www.mturk.com/
Last year I owed 10k USD. I certainly cared then.
Overall I don’t think about it until I do my taxes. That said, I’d happily pay more if everyone else got healthcare, good infrastructure, and a clean environment.
Just a screen that says, “corn again, huh?”
I plan on being dead then, so do what you want with my digital wake.
Wayne was my first thought, definitely his style.
Oddly this year they are really prevalent in my area. In prior years I haven’t seen nearly as many.
I’m intentionally avoiding lawn treatments and insecticides this year. I love my yard, but I’m also thinking about switching to clover.
