9·2 days agoSorry for going on a tangent, but what exactly are your family’s opinion on piracy? I understand that they do not agree with piracy, but why? I have never seen any common person saying no to free stuff like that.

10·3 days agoI’ve read that book called The Secret (law of attraction), it was stupid. You know which book is even more stupid? The Alchemist. It was total trash. At least The Secret had some entertainment factor.

Could be any reason? Maybe it is like hard light? Maybe it’s too hot that they jump back as general reflex? Maybe the beam damages their suit in such a way that it malfunctions?
Just after this it is shown that they are falling from above on the ground without any directional momentum, like mosquitoes.
I feel like humour on Lemmy is also degrading. About a year ago, my shitposts used to get get so many upvotes, nowadays, it’s like people don’t understand the meaning of most jokes, or take shitposts seriously. And I’m not even talking aboit posting on random communities, I’m talking aboit shitposts on c/shitpostlemmy. And not just my shitposts, almost all shitposts. Similarly, people downvoted unpopular opinions on c/unpopularopinion. This was not a thing about 6 months to a year ago.
