Not in FL, but in another GOP state that I’m sure will join the bandwagon eventually. I knew there was a reason I’ve been hoarding “data”.

It was, but it still is too.
Yeah, no, we’re still going to walk into this, despite nothing about this sounding like it’s going to turn out well. Gee golly, there’s just nothing we can do about any of this. Not like we have a current sitting President with the effective powers of a king who could wield that power for the greater good. Nah, we’re just gonna do this. Hope it works out well.
On one level, I sympathize with companies like Nintendo, I don’t want to, BUT companies are supposed to make efforts to protect their IP or they run the risk of losing those exclusive protections when it matters later on (abandonment). So if they want to continue their IP rights, they’re supposed to defend it against anything that comes along. I still don’t like it, but I kind of understand why they have to do it.
Granted, I think they could come up with some sort of licensing terms that would made it easy for solo developers to still develop small-time projects to encourage people to create these one-off labors of love, similar to what alot of TTRPG developers do, but for whatever reason, they go the hardball approach, which just creates bad feelings in the community.

If it was before I’d had my kids, probably. Now with my kids existing in the world, I’d essentially be deleting their existences too, so no.
1/3rd of voters voted for Trump, a 1/3rd voted for Harris, and a 1/3rd just couldn’t be bothered to vote. It’s not that Trump got a groundswell of support (he got +1million more than 2020, not a huge increase), it’s that Harris didn’t get the same number of votes as Biden got, she got around 7 million less votes than Biden got. It’s that Democrat voters didn’t turn out in the numbers they needed to.
Jokes on you, my sex doll is already on the way, be here before Christmas.
This is going to fuck up the healthcare industry (along with many others) and it’s going to hit alot of Americans hard. There’s millions of immigrant home health aides across the country that help care for mentally disabled and elderly Americans. Start taking away those aides and suddenly you’ve got Americans struggling to find anybody to watch their family members, causing them to have to choose between work and caring for a relative. It’s going to be a shitshow if they actually follow through with this.
The only silver lining I can see is that it might actually open Americans’ eyes to how much they actually need immigrants after everything goes to shit, but I’m sure the ignorant will just go on to blame some other group for the resulting fallout.
Going to the doctor half the time feels like a waste anyways. No matter how sick I am, I’m never given medicine or antibiotics and I’m always told to wait a week to see if it gets worse. It already had to be a big deal for me to go the first time around, I’m basically done after that and resigned to suffering without help. The worst was when I had been perpetually sick with something for 5+ weeks right before Covid first hit, never got anything and doctor was just like, “Yeah, some colds or flus can go for that long.”
For physical injuries though, that shit is important and that seems like something they can treat, but anything else it’s just, “You’re on your own, good luck!”
I’ve been doing that here lately, just bouncing from game to game to game. Despite having hundreds of games in my Steam library, just feeling burnt out I think. Trying to move back to my unloved boardgames more to switch it up some. Sometimes you don’t need to force it, take a break and find something else to do for awhile until the interest comes back.
Jesus died so we could have bread. He is risen!
Also, rape porn is very much in keeping with biblical values.
Fair, we’ll have them dismantling their welfare system in a few years’ time like they were red-blooded 'Mericans all along.
I’m assuming it’s because they really only have a single neighboring country, the US. Despite the Fallout games, I doubt that the US invasion/annexation of Canada is even seen as a remote possibility, or something that they could really ever meaningfully oppose were the US to even try it. There’s just no need to maintain a ridiculously large military when you’re neighbors with the country that has the largest military spending on Earth anyways, may as well just spend your money on your people.
I doubt they would’ve even taken the sign off the lawn.
That must be why I have no idea what any of this is about. In the ~20 years I’ve used Steam, I almost never frequent the forums or use guides unless I have a game-stopping problem.
I’m assuming it’s working as intended.

I don’t recall feeling overly impressed with content on Mastodon, it’s just social media, but with a small userbase, I’m guessing more tech-saavy. I think what ultimately “wins” in the social media space is wherever “everybody” ends up going. Right now, Bluesky seems to have the momentum going for it as people are flocking to it in droves, but it’s hard to tell how sustainable it is long-term as the hype settles down. Right now everybody is excited and seems like they’re trying to make it a positive, creative, liberal space, but eventually trolls will start invading the space and it’ll be like every other social media site unless it’s somehow structured in a way as to avoid that.
Epic and GoG I’ve not bought a single thing from either of them, that’s all free shit. For Steam, most of that is stuff that’s been accumulated from Humble Bundles and just from having an account for ~20 years now. If I were to just quit my job and game full-time for the rest of my life, there’s probably more games to play in my collection than I have years left to live.
