Can’t find MVP player anywhere online
Update: it’s MPV player. I found it here and side loaded it but it still doesn’t let me download subtitles like VLC does.

When I use VLC with other apps, there’s an option to download subtitles. I don’t have that with the built in exoplayer or libvlc.
Update: Downloaded and installed the opensubtitles plugin on my server. And switched back to exoplayer. I can download subtitles now.
Invidious has a bug where it doesn’t update as frequently as it’s supposed to. I’ve had this issue on both my self hosted and public instances. I’m thinking about switching to freetube. Always hear about it but never tried it
I was using nextcloud at first but kept having sync issues. I use syncthing to sync my Libre office docs and it always disconnects on my Android. I bought Mobious a few months back to sync photos from my iPhone and it always disconnected. So I switched to photosync. So in other words syncthing hasn’t really been reliable for me. I use a free Dropbox account and haven’t had any issues since. And the best thing about Joplin desktop is there is a Backup plugin, so if my Dropbox ever went down, I still have multiple Backups saved locally and on my Proton Drive.
I have been using Joplin with Dropbox sync. Syncs between my Desktop, Android, and iOS devices. Switched from Google Keep a few months back. Great app.
I have a self hosted freshRSS but I still just use the Feeder app 99.9% of the time. I guess I just keep Fresh as a backup in case the Feeder app ever goes down.
Then you’re using it wrong buddy.
I use Kodi for the Google drive add on to stream and nothing else. So I keep it as bare bones as possible.
The XR and 11 (non Pro) had LCD. The 12 and 12 Pro have the same exact OLED screen, so that’s when they stopped using LCD on the lower models with Face ID.
Yup. Same way I do it.
Use to do it individually. Now I do it all from one Master compose.
How am I shilling, you dope? I said what I did for MY personal experience. I never once said other people have to use it. In fact I would never recommend Linux to non tech savvy family members, unless they only do light shit like web browsing.
Just moved from WIndows to Linux Mint a few weeks ago and never going back
You dont need tampermonkey for Ublock Origin and Video Background Play Fix. It’s under add-ons when you go to settings.
I use Revanced, but keep Firefox Youtube and invidious as backups.
Here’s another trick. Go to youtube and then go to your Firefox menu and check “desktop site”. And then you can install it as a PWA on your Homescreen. Don’t worry, when you open it up for the first time from your Homescreen, it will be back in Mobile web format.
This essentially makes it an isolated app from your browser. Not cluttering up your history and tabs.
Don’t forget the “Video Background Play Fix” add on. That paired with the adblocking makes it where you can watch ad free YouTube while in another app or even with the screen off.
This is exactly what I need to do. I have a custom domain attached to Protonmail. I’ve been using duck duck go for aliases with Bitwarden but this solution sounds perfect. I always wondered what that catch all option meant.
Google Voice - Cheogram
Search - Duck Duck Go or Start Page
Contacts - NextCloud
Calendar - NextCloud
Tasks - Task.Org
Keep - Joplin
Maps - Magic Earth
Passwords & Sign In - Bitwarden or Keepass
Docs & Sheets - Open Office
Gmail - Proton or Tutanota
Dialer - Simple Dialer
Files - Material Files
Chrome - Firefox
YouTube - Peertube
Photos - NextCloud
Bookmarks - NextCloud, Floccus, or XBrowsersync
I use all of these but I still have to use Google Voice and Maps because they are just superior to everything else that I have tried imo. And I sometimes use gmail too because certain website logins are locked to my old Gmail’s.
Update: Downloaded and installed the opensubtitles plugin on my server. And switched back to exoplayer. I can download subtitles now without having to use VLC.
