They like moisture. They’re crustaceans like crabs and shrimp so they need high humidity at the very least to survive. Bugs also like to find shelter in shade so a big shady place that also happens to be damp is paradise

I had to know what that whole outfit looked like:
I love it! It was from the 2025 met gala
I love this movie! Here’s the scene:

Ugh… Right… Today I was at a place with my partner and a group of younger (not as in young, just younger than us) girls behind us. They were talking about some place they were familiar with and how cute it was, how they hadn’t been there in so long
“That’s like the most instagramable place ever!” I swear I could see the back of my skull, that’s how hard my eyes rolled
Told my partner, “I guess we judge places by how instagram worthy they are…” Their reply, “so cringe”
And when I’ve tried it numerous times I’ll let them walk me through the process while I browse the internet for a couple minutes while I “wait for the light to turn green”
Nope, it’s still flashing yellow, like it has been, and has been after the last couple resets of everything between me and the wall
Oh you’ll send a technician out? Thx.
Here’s the link to the site:
I haven’t poked around yet
Edit: there’s nothing else really, unless there’s some hidden urls
Oh man, I’ve got one at home I got from Europe 20 some years ago. I hope to remember to get you a picture when I return
It says “Hard Rock Cafe Prague” in orange letters that don’t match their font on a black sweater. 1000% unlicensed and I love it (I’m pretty sure that is the correct city)
Hah thanks! This pops in my head every once in a while but I forget to look it up when I have a chance to
I’m glad nothing went awry. I was always skeptical about it because no one figured it out. It’s crazy what we do especially as kids with our innocent bliss
It’s hard to get over “that”. It feels good but vulnerable to let yourself out. But literally no one cares
This scene has resonated with me for a while and I love it and embrace it
Oh that looks so fun! I’ll definitely check it out. I feel that I might be able to scrounge together a group that would enjoy this
That reminds me of a “game” kids would (try) to play when I was young at school. The kids would say to do just that “bend over, take a deep breath” and the other one would try to lift them up really quickly. I never saw it work. I guess you were supposed to pass out. Idk
Hey thank you for posting that. I know it’s not what you wanted but I am looking for safe resources and this is what I need
(I’m trying to heal from some trauma and ngl seeing it at first was a bit triggering but I feel better after reading that description. So thank you sincerely)
Electronic calculators have their own magic but with slide rules you conjure it yourself and it’s beautiful. I like seeing the how behind the why
Next time I visit I’ll ask to be shown again. I miss the long, boring explanations about how every single part of a keyboard works and how they all mechanically and electronically mesh to put our finger taps into words on a screen
I’m sorry for waxing nostalgia, it just kinda dawned on me I haven’t let him know I appreciated being taught those things because nowadays we just expect things to work and don’t question the “magic”
Hey that’s really awesome! My dad showed me how to use one a long time ago. Those things are pure magic
I had that feeling growing up but not the words to put it in. That world war three won’t look like two and we’re probably in it right now (this was many years ago when different turmoil was happening.)
The other reply posted a link that I’d like to read because it looks fascinating which discusses the generations of warfare. I got through the abstract but it’s early rn so I’m not trying to get through the whole thing. It confirms what I felt all these years
The acronym FAST is good to know:
From https://www.mass.gov/info-details/stroke-signs-and-symptoms-act-fast
Face
Arms
Speech
Time
One last thing. It’s ted-ed but here’s a brain researcher who experienced and analyzed a stroke as one happened:
https://youtu.be/mYD7Y9CXeUw
Cw if you need: she displays and handles a real human brain and spinal cord
Hah is that Earnest? I didn’t watch any of that but I know the character
Thank you because I know a bit, but I don’t know enough about him and his shtick to understand the greater context. I’m also not familiar enough with those dog whistles to catch them all out in the wild
Edit: spelling
To be fair…
I did the thing where I signed up and got the app and promptly never used it
I don’t particularly like short form content (at all) but I was hoping that there’d be some relevant connection between the platforms
