Team won on the game and I was just wondering what time you are going to be able to get it to the office and write it up and get the chicken salad and I’ll be there in a few minutes watching the game and I have to go to the store and get the chicken salad and I’ll see you tomorrow

Technology@lemmy.world•Valve antitrust lawsuit reportedly reveals lengths Steam owner is willing to go to prevent cheaper prices elsewhereEnglish
2·13 days ago“It is important that you don’t give Steam customers a worse deal than Steam Key purchasers.”
That’s a very fair way of phrasing it and should make sense to anyone saying “but what if they want to sell it cheaper elsewhere?” Seems most people don’t even understand the actual issue, they just are butthurt over headlines
I had to look up that word:
hirsute /hûr′soo͞t″, hîr′-, hər-soo͞t′/ adjective
Covered with hair; hairy. Covered with stiff or coarse hairs. Rough with hair; set with bristles; shaggy.
Cool!
And that’s how we get the term anglers, angling? Never questioned the origin
Hey thanks!!! I’ll absolutely look into that
I haven’t gotten into that series even though it’s so highly regarded. I think I’d actually be less mad overall than I anticipate, but I wish I’d see recommendations about podcasts of the same quality and in-depth research that were positive topics, too
Interactions like these are why I love the comment section. It’s great when a post ends up being a vehicle for conversation

I really felt your comment. I hope you’re able to recruit some people. Have you reached out to the German instance? Also, if you play online multiplayer games, and you’re open to the idea, I’m sure a ton of people here would love a solid gaming group to connect with even if they couldn’t be there physically. Understandably though, it could be outside the constraints of how your group plays
Some people I know exclusively online but we’ve played many games together and they’re some of my longest lasting relationships

politics @lemmy.world•With his war at a crucial moment, Trump is… repainting a pool
1·1 month agoMy search for “large pool” on DDG that was very generic, but a straight-on view:
https://guncast.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/large-london-3.jpg(what was the) current reflecting pool (the first picture I came across on DDG “Lincoln memorial reflecting pool” that WASN’T it being painted blue):
https://img.mathrubhumi.com/view/acePublic/alias/contentid/1r27fwlfiz9huundshn/0/lincoln-memorial-reflecting-pool-jpg.webpWhat’s being painted I guess is darker, according to you. All the current pictures makes it look like shit so I have no idea what it’ll end up looking like, if it gets finished. Any blue is going to look tacky if they keep it clean; otherwise, it’ll get dark and murky and if that happens what was the point?

You explained it just fine with the information available to you. I understood it and I have a hard time understanding the meaning of statements over text
It’s not your fault YouTube doesn’t share how their algorithms work, so I kinda think the other person was pretty rude in their reply. Could have worded it a lot better

Responsible breeding though, we have too many homeless animals as is
I saw the green and immediately thought “algae” but that’d be nearly impossible in the eyeball. And if it was she’d have way bigger concerns than the lenses
What a cool experience!
And I love how you were laughing the whole time. It really brought me a smile
