Rage and Serenity by Henry Jackman
Hopeless yuri addict.
Rage and Serenity by Henry Jackman
a) Shitty MS Paint edits are funny.
b) It makes it clear to people who aren’t familiar with the original meme that this is a template.
Don’t use screen

pretty heavily.
No one’s said it yet? I guess I’ll do it: Outer Wilds.
Lol, weaponizing toxic masculinity for climate justice, are we?
Yeah, moon dust is basically microscopic shrapnel. No one should be breathing that shit in.
The “right to control distribution” is utterly unenforceable in a world with computers and the internet. The only way to enforce that right is to have centralized institutions with absolute control over every computer.
I can understand a need for controlling personal information in order to protect the user privacy. I can even get behind the idea of having to control dangerous information, like schematics for nuclear weapon systems. I do not support the idea of moving towards a world where the NSA has a rootkit on every computer because capitalism can’t be bothered that artists make enough to eat.
Maybe there is an inherent problem with a social system in which so many people struggle to make a living. And maybe the solution isn’t to create artificial scarcity in computer systems where information can be shared freely.
I recently installed Silverblue alongside Windows and ran into this as well. I haven’t found a way to run the actual OS off the USB stick.
I hope this is shitposting/satire. For anyone who doesn’t understand why Wayland was created, I’d recommend taking a look at this talk by one of the Wayland (and former X) developers.
Yes, Wayland has problems. But something like it was sorely needed. X is an unmaintainable pile of hacks built on broken assumptions.
I think the scene with Edel might be my least favorite scene in the whole adaptation so far. Really unnatural, monologue-y exposition, and they’re all talking loud enough for their voices to echo through the room instead of whispering.
Putting my gripes aside, how about that Ubel fight, eh? Not quite as tasty as Laufen’s fighting style in the last episode, IMO, but definitely up there. Those first-person POV shots were a neat surprise. Also enjoyed seeing Frieren drowning her worries in Methode’s huge tracts of land and Fern getting jealous over it.
Those golems are interesting, though. Edel’s blocked attacks from Sense’s clone… So, was whoever made the golems a more powerful first-class mage than Sense?
Aaaah, Fern and Stark are so cute! And Stark got some nice bonding time with his mom, lol. I don’t think he and Frieren spent a significant amount of time alone together up until this episode.
Sein leaving so soon kind of caught me by surprise. I read the manga, so I knew it was coming, but the timescale seems so much shorter with weekly episodes. I love how memorable characters like Sein and Kraft are despite their limited screentime.
Safe travels, Sein. I hope you find the MILF of your dreams.
That battle was a great way to immediately show Sein’s utility to the team. And the waltz scene was a real treat for Stern shippers!
It’s me; I am the Stern shippers.
My first thought as well. There’s a lot of anime that uses Christian imagery and symbolism, but I wouldn’t call Bible Black a “Christian” show.
Actually, the show I’ve seen that had the most Christ-like themes was the first season of Vinland Saga. I haven’t gotten around to watching the second season yet.
I’m giving you bonus points for the alliteration.
Hmmm, that’s a good point. I did type my Lemmy credentials directly into at least two different apps. I guess it would be better if it redirected to a login page provided by my instance (Beehaw). But I also don’t consider my Lemmy account to be very critical. It’s not a huge deal if it gets compromised, as long as it’s not associated with my real identity.
EDIT: Also, I use a password manager, so a leak of my randomly generated Lemmy password shouldn’t affect anything else.
The fact that you have to enter your iCloud credentials directly into the app was a red flag.
Security PSA: Don’t enter passwords or other secrets for important accounts directly into a third party UI. This is why we have tokens and federated login. Third parties should never see your Google/Apple/whatever credentials.

Why did you say precisely the same thing twice?
It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down…
Feel like “meeting ladies” is a pretty low bar. There are ways to do that in a manner that would have all of the ladies in question vying for restraining orders.
The reason you don’t really see animals that can photosynthesize (other than microbes) is because you don’t actually get that much energy per unit of area. Think about how much area a cow has to graze vs the surface area of the cow itself. And much of the cow’s surface isn’t even facing the sun.
