Nighttime anxiety is so dumb. It’s like the time when you’re the least suited to solving tasks, because your mental and emotional energy is depleted for the day.
I know it’s easier said than done, but if you’re lucky enough to be able to consciously turn your mind’s eye away from what is stressing you to literally anything else, you will have unlocked a superpower.
I can do it sometimes.
Sometimes.
It sucks because my brain often works on overdrive at night, but the option to get that task done is quashed by societal norms, like closing stores and other essential locations.
When online banking became an option to pay my rent, it has almost always been paid between 1-3am. When I lived near a 24 hour Walmart, my shopping was done between 12-4am. When I had 24 hour laundry access, guess what?
Shutting the world down at night for basic functions ruins the world for people like me.
