Mood scrolling is just what people call doom scrolling when it still isn’t filling you with an overwhelming sense of despair and desire for death. Also, I’m not and wasn’t doom scrolling. I just wanted to advise night owls to go to bed.

You accuse me of doom scrolling while mood scrolling.

I reply with nonsense and get defensive because I have to convince myself I “won” any and every internet conversation I have to feel like my existence is justified somehow (it isn’t) because I have nothing else to hold on to, thus avoiding the vast abyss of unprocessed negative emotions that torment me whenever I don’t carpet bomb my sensory input or distract myself with heated internet debate.
