I’m 60, and I’ve lived my entire life with a fitted sheet, and a couple of blankets. I don’t even use a blanket in the summer, just sleep nude on the bed uncovered. Dunno why people make sleeping so complicated.

Top sheet, bottom sheet, mattress pad, mattress topper, blanket, duvet, comforter, short pillows, long pillows, round pillows, square pillows–JFC, just go to sleep already!

I don’t get the need for so many different shapes of pillows.

I mean, okay, sure, Standard vs King, alright. And I know I have a mix of those. As well as a memory foam wedge that slightly elevates my pillow and fills the gap between the mattress and the headboard so my glasses, phone, and remote stop falling back there.

But I do have a lot of pillows. Because I’ve recently started to sleep in like a cradle of them. A slope from my head down to my mid-back, and then a couple under my knees/thighs. And it’s so damn comfortable. I’m only 41, but I’m seriously considering buying an adjustable bed so I can get this position (“zero gravity”) without so many pillows, because they do make making the bed, and getting in/out of bed, a pain in the ass.
