Didn’t see the usual post since you know what happened, so I just posted this. Hopes this helps.
Stark learned Reckless Attack, and it’s just as OP as in tabletop RPGs! Fern was pretty cool as well, but you just can’t help but admire the tenacity of your good old martials, facing overwhelming threats with their weapon and determination alone!
Incredible episode, once again. The quality of the animation is excellent. It’s my favorite show at the moment without a doubt.
Huh, it seems like as if overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
Injury And Despondence Set The Stage For Heroism… Or Cowardice.
You haven’t lost yet, since you got up.
Fern was amazing this episode. Stark was great, too. I really love how the show has preserved the low-key feel of the magic system from the manga. The spells feel more pragmatic than flashy.
One shot I really liked was the one where Fern retrieves her staff while Lügner is taking up most of the frame. The staff is out of focus in the background, and I really like how the show doesn’t draw attention to it, trusting the viewer to notice it instead.
We do get a shot of it just before.
True, they draw attention to it initially, but they don’t keep cutting back to it, which is what I’ve come to expect from most anime.
