Officials said a police team was on patrolling duty on Tuesday when during routine frisking in Dharamsal area, a man was found to be using banned VPN on his mobile phone.
They didn’t even use network surveillance…
routine frisking
Is this what fascism tastes like?
That’s Kashmir y’all! Basically Indian Palestine.
VPN services are widely used by businesses - does this prohibition affect them?
It’s probably meant as a discretionary law. It’s illegal for everybody, but only enforced against the people you don’t like and not the people who are paying your taxes etc
Plus it gives the local investigators a bribery opportunity with the local businesses. Oh you need to use a VPN to do your offshoring work? Well that’s illegal, but maybe I didn’t see it today…
So much fascism in the air today.
Businesses use VPN’s/ proxies like crazy for security. I am curious to know how they bypass that
Your phone better not display the “VPN” bit in the connection indicator!
😂 true. VPN = Crime.

Damn I missed it. What was the juicy comment that got -27?
“Cheap shared VPN accounts on sale, NordVPN, IPVanish and TunnelBear, 5 bucks each thought crypto, interested people send DM.”
Many clients can still show deleted comments btw
