I think it’s really a mistake to make yet another election about Trump. Yes, he’s terrible and will probably escape justice, then dismantle our democracy if he wins…

But Kamala Harris and Tim Walz aren’t just the alternative, they’re actually really great! Listen to them speak, read up on their policy positions, which are even more progressive than Biden’s successes. They are intelligent, moral, empathetic individuals who will improve this country for the 99%! …As well as keeping the orange man and his billionaire enablers from ruining and potentially ending this country.

This is the thing currently pissing me off about their campaign. Walz is objectively the best person we’ve had running for a seat in the White House for a long time. He did so much with a tiny sliver of power in MN. Give people a fucking carrot for once, instead of warning us about Trump and campaigning with a fucking Chaney. Just campaign on a positive message. I’m terrified that they are depressing the vote with their bullshit bipartisanship.

Maybe if you ignore the part where they completely deny the genocide in Gaza, are adopting right wing immigration policies and are generally shifting the overton window further right. Not to say that Trump won’t be much worse, he will, but that doesn’t mean I’m not disgusted by Harris’ campaign

Single-issue voters are poison. The US is a 2-party system. For now. We can choose to make life worse for Palestinians by:

        1. Voting for Donald Trump
        2. Not voting
        3. Voting for a 3rd-party candidate

If you think I like this situation, you’re wrong. But Donald Trump is an imminent threat to American Democracy and he has said he’d support more pro-Israel colonial policies to wipe out Palestinians.

Or you can vote for Harris/Walz. They actually care about people and can listen to reason, unlike Trump, who’s degenerating before all our eyes. I am not in favor of Israeli genocide, which is why I’m not throwing away my voice on a “protest” vote or by staying home.

If they win and democracy in America is preserved, I will be petitioning the Harris administration to end all support for Israel and to condemn them on the international stage. I will also be advocating for ending the undemocratic “first past the post” system that gives the DNC and RNC oversized power. The moment 3rd-party candidates are viable, I will vote for them, and would be honored to have you as an ally in that fight. Until then, Vote Harris/Walz:

        • For America
        • For Democracy
        • For Palestine
        • For Ukraine
        • For Women’s Rights
        • For the Environment
        • For Justice
        • For all of us

I didn’t say I would be doing any of those things, or that any of those would be better for Palestinians. I just don’t think that Kamala is “Actually Pretty Great” at all. She’s unquestionably better than the pants-shitting fascist but she also wants to finish his wall.

What I’m saying is that while I will most likely be voting for her, I’m certainly not going to be happy about it or pretend she’s a good candidate.
