    Maybe, but it could also be that a large group of people chose not to vote because they thought it would mean something. I swore an oath and was prepared to lay down my life to protect the right of the American people to do just that. Seeing that “my fellow Americans” chose to back fascism, I honestly wish I could take it all back. When my son wanted nothing more than to run and play with his father through his childhood I was hobbling behind him with a cane, at the time I was okay with it because I thought I was protecting HIS rights (which is not the right reason I guess, I’m selfish).

    At this point I just have to come to terms with the fact that over half the country is cool with it (every single non-vote was a vote for “I’m fine with whatever y’all want to do”).
