I want to use IRC/SSH at school but both seems to be blocked. I assume they blocked all ports outside of 80 and 8080. Is there anyway to get around this? Maybe a proxy? How would I set this up?

Maybe a web based client made it past their web filter. There’s a lot of them out there.

Wireguard to home. If they block that then try tailscale it should work
It’s not unheard of for the usual IRC ports to be blocked because it used to be used for botnets. Some servers may have different ports.
