I do think that maybe there should be a feature to give users paid awards, however, where the cost of the award is split 3 ways between the user, the user’s instance admin and the community’s instance admins. This could be done with the lightning network easily and in my opinion would be a great way to award users with particularly good comments
Just chip a couple bucks to your local instance owner! Basically the same thing, without the glitz.
