    It’s one of two things:

    1. Bully mentality. “Beating people up means I’m strong.”

    2. Kompromat. “Putin said I have to beat people up or he will ruin me, and I know what he has on me.”

      What’s in it for me, personally? These countries do not directly benefit Trimp, plus one of the many things he campaigned on was isolationism. Apparentlys people fell for that

          Maybe I assumed too much context ….

          It’s one of two three things:

          • narcissism /instant gratification. If it doesn’t directly benefit me, now, then I don’t care

            Oh. I mean that’s definitely a Trump Trait but I don’t think it’s relevant to a conversation about why he’s attacking his allies.
