Im under the impression most of the US uses metric when it comes to interacting intenationally. It’s just the “last mile” type labeling for shelves that’s converted. I.e. Lowes orders 1524 meters of lumber cut into 30.48 meter boards from international shipping which looks like a weird order but on the shelves turns into 5000 feet of 100 foot boards.
