imagine getting rich because of some mumbo jumbo accounting BS and manipulation then decided to battle an actual manufacturing powerhouse that can actually produce sellable products. lmao bruh, economy is not like your typical cooked sports ppv bets like the “paul douchebags” vs whoever the fuck they want to fight.

what an out of touch idiot.

edit: and yes, they keep on pumpin and dumpin

Why do people keep referring to the Art of the Deal, Trump has filed for bankruptcy 6 times from 1991-2009 the art of the deal is just toilet paper with words on it.

Apple is shit compared to Xiaomi. I’m using Xiaomi 11T Pro which I bought 3 yrs ago for around 530 USD. I got 120W charger, free casing and wireless earbuds. It functions the same as the day i bought it. It has Snapdragon 888 chip, 120hz screen, good camera, stereo Harman Kardon speakers, Dolby Atmos…man this thing charges 0 to 100 in fucking 20 mins. Now I can’t stand it whenever I need to charge my phone in slow chargers lmao 530 bucks lol

Edit: I forgot, they even gave me a branded foldable blanket, you can fold it into a “bag” . It was a very comfy blanket …i lost it somewhere.

I went from iPhone 6s to Huawei mate 20 in 2019. Felt like going from my Gameboy colour to a PSP or something.

Then afterwards because politics caused Huawei to be crippled, I went for Xiaomi. (Shares are sold publicly so there’s more resistance in USA).

Xiaomi 12T via Telenet deals was 400 euros. Then now this year I went for Xiaomi 14T pro for 650 euros (plus a tablet).

My dad went for iPhone 16 for 830 euros.

I’ve only used his phone for like 10 minutes, but it feels so… behind. It’s like for 830 euros that they just cannot offer much. My friend said that an iPhone 16 is a waste of money, that you’re forced to go for the pro max. But that’s like 1500 euros for 512 GB space.

Apple, you’re manufacturing your phones in china but you aren’t pricing your phones like china does.

Why would anyone beside teenagers and seniors buy your phones?

I can only recommend against buying Xiaomi phones because they are shitty by design. My parents have Xiaomi phones and there are ads everywhere, including in the standard system apps.

For example: The vanilla files app is hidden and you can only use it if you know what you’re doing and dig it up. Instead you have Xiaomi’s file manager app that not only lacks many features, but has the audacity to be infested with apps. When you start the app, you will get a full screen ad and can only continue to the proper app after a few seconds and even then there are banner ads still.

If you install apps manually from apks, some Xiaomi app scanner launches to scan the apk. I doubt the scanner is effective or does anything useful, but it’s yet another opportunity to show full screen ads.

That’s why I check if there is a custom rom available before buying any phone. My current phone came with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, which tries to be iOS but on Android. Luckily some heroes ported CrDroid, so now I have a €200 phone that feels like a €500 phone.

But I still can’t recommend Xiaomi, because they made it nearly impossible to unlock the bootloader. Installing a custom rom isn’t even the hard part when the OEM has a five step process to get a stupid unlock code. Took me a month, just because they required a minimum account age. Should have checked that process before buying too. Or just returned the phone when I could, because that month pushed me out of the return window of course :')

That’s pretty smart. They can infest apps with ads in order to make someone delete that app.

I’ve only seen it on YouTube vanced, because it didn’t come from an app store.

The reason to use it is because you want to avoid ads.

I don’t see any of those ads on other apps. In which area of the world do you live?

Just remember, Trump didn’t write “art of the deal”. It was ghost written. He’s probably never even read it.

Self censoring ‘bad’ worda is such mind-numbing dumb thing to do. If you don’t want to use the word, don’t use it… Boggles my mind. Besides, are there even really any platforms anywhere that censor or frown upon ‘ass’ ?

I watched the apprentice yesterday, I don’t how close it comes to reality but if it does than saying your good at making deals is more important than actually making good deals.

I’ve heard (never actually seen the apprentice myself, and I haven’t followed up, so take it with a big grain of salt) that the show was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Like Trump was such a fantastically bad business man, it was meant to be a joke. But unfortunately, most people are apparently blind to satire, and all it takes is acting like you know what you’re doing to convince them you do.

I wouldn’t call it satire, but since it doesn’t paint a very flattering picture of him I can imagine his supporters would call it satire. It is funny, but that because he behaves stupid. The real him is also funny in the same way, but at the same time there is nothing funny about it because he gets his way. His supporters probably say it’s made to make him look bad, but I feel I better understand him after seeing it. Doesn’t make me like him more though, the consequences his actions have on people makes him quite a villain; then and now.

He was so great at deal making that he had to take a job working for a Hollywood studio pretending to be a successful businessman and “firing” people from a job that doesn’t exist.

Fuck, he kept insisting that nobody would have ever heard of Penn &Teller if not for him, while standing under the giant mural of them on their eponymous theater in Vegas.

I remember seeing them pop up on leftist spaces on Reddit and I was always nonplussed. Usually their points are valid but like you said they’re grifters. They’ll do pretty much anything for a seat at the table to shake their finger.

It’s really simple to explain tariffs. Remember the whole “no taxation without representation” the US was built on? Well you can’t tax another country, because you’d have to give them representation.

Which leads me to my next point…
