I offer absurdist edits of absurdist Heathcliff comics, make food, post political memes.

It’s had a lot of time to learn things.
Whatever was available. My afternoon snack in highschool was a pound of pasta and a stick of butter. Were we have mashed potatoes with dinner? I’d make three pounds of potatoes and eat way more than a quarter of them. Peanut butter and jelly is relatively cheap and you can fit a lot of peanut butter in there. Quesadillas not filling that calorie craving? Add some sour cream. Had a pound of pasta for snack? Let’s do it with red sauce and sausage for dinner. Maybe I’d treat myself to a second California burrito that day. Potatoes fried in bacon fat was a favorite for a while when bacon was cheap at the carnicaria. Bake a chicken, a breast goes to the friend and I’ll eat the rest with two pounds of mashed potatoes.
I learned to cook because I was too poor to buy as much food as I needed just to get through the day. But I could cook ridiculous portions for dirt cheap.
I would walk into a doctor’s office and they would immediately schedule me for thyroid, HIV and drug tests. I lost count of how many times I was tested for thyroid issues.
That’s a great question and I wish I had an answer for you that was scientific.
From the ages of 15 to 30 I was constantly seeking to do 6,000 calories a day to maintain being 6’2 and 135. At the age of 16 a doctor took one look at me and said “yeah you’re burning like 6,000 calories a day” It was difficult. I had all the same symptoms of anorexia like a heart condition that’s haunted me the rest of my life. I have a nephew who’s going through the exact same issue now. It wasn’t fun. But I turned 30 and I gained 50 lb in 3 years. I never felt better in my life. It was amazing!. I finally had the strength to do … life.
For 15 years I was eating 6,000 calories a day to maintain being 50 lb underweight. This would have definitely appealed to me back then. But I don’t think there’s enough pickles.
Came here to say this I know in my heart that it had already been said
Would have been incredibly rare if it was another governor. Good thing he got his prayer answered. Otherwise he’d have to do some soul searching.
They can take my horchata and tamarindo from my cold dead hands.
Minimalism is for people that can solve any problems with money. No tools. No rainy day supplies. No “just in case” in the back of a cabinet. Something breaks? Call a guy. Need 300 cup cakes? Catering.
It’s a philosophy for the rich. Not a philosophy that makes you rich.
Down voted because of highly inaccurate numbers.

The stock market isn’t the economy. A lot of this growths is toxic and based on the idea that small companies will get destroyed by larger ones and people dumping billions into companies trusting that AI will destroy jobs and increase profits will ignoring that without customers companies can’t exist.
Not a trump supporter but I’m also extremely against outdated data and a failure to appreciate other factors.
They deserve each other. The partners each other. Trump and each of them. Everyone involved.
I don’t know. It was there when I went to find a Soup For My Family meme and I wasn’t going to remove it since relocating wildlife in my state of Lesser Carolina is illegal according to our DNR laws.
Now imagine how government will effect that. You know how the government’s been trying to put back doors into hardware? A lot easier to do when you own part of a major chip manufacturer. Do you think having a steady supply of government orders will make them innovate or get lazier? Why is the government proving up a dragging company? Isn’t that picking losers and winners like Republicans had issues with in the Solyndra deal?
Intel failing isn’t a reason for the government to get involved, it’s a reason to stay away.
I really feel like we are talking past each other. I’m talking about people who wanted to privatize the Social Security system and sell off the USPS because they believed any amount of government in any service was dangerous. I’m not being histrionic, I’m asking the people who have spent decades being histrionic to explain why they are suddenly very chill with something that was, until a week ago, a firmly held religious belief.
Don’t mistake my position for that of the people I’m trying to reach.
Then you aren’t my target audience. Canadians are very different from USA Republicans who have a long and loud history on this topic and then flipped in one day to say it’s okay to have a little communism as a treat.
Paging Dr Streisand. Dr Streisand you have a call on the Effect phone.
