The one I’m using now is part of a batch of 4 that I found in the trash at my workplace. It’s a big Cherry G-80 which linear, non-clicky black switches.

Its a very simple, old-school “aged” white keyboard, with some marks still from mistreatment, probably when throwing away.

Typing is delicious. The keys offer a satisfying resistance until they bottom out. They register the press before that point though. They never miss, and can be silent or somewhat musical, depending on the fingers attack.

It’s truly a simple pleasure to type on it!

I use Nicotine+. It connects to the Soulseek network. I find many audiobooks there. Usually fast downloads. People share directly from their computers.

It‘s for wetting your hand while on the toilet. This enables you to wipe and clean your ass with your wet hand.

I think the passing of time, as in waiting, is an experience of the mind. Without a waiting mind, the length of time is just another number out there, like the distance between the edges of the universe. If after the dark finale of this universe there exists another event that spawns a conscious mind, there is no actual waiting happening between this universe bright, starry second and the next one.

Maybe it’s some higher dimensional grad student simulating something to get some plots to add to a poster his postdoc wants him to present at a small time conference somewhere. Our consciousness is just a side effect because he insisted in doing the coding in Haskell.

Workaround 1: AI write my thesis in French. Translator app, translate my thesis into English.

Workaround 2: AI write my thesis and insert „Hadouken“ randomly everywhere. AI remove „Hadouken“ from my thesis.
