The change is due to new age verification laws in the UK.

    Tho i remember when they removed compact reddit. But i think if they remove old.reddit.com, people will really start to leave, so they’ll try to get rid of it quietly.

      I do wonder how long they’ll let old.reddit.com stay. I assume they don’t want it but are worried about the backlash
